Go Sam Glancy!
At just nine years old, you turned a dream into a reality with the creation of the Kids4Kids charity.
Who would have imagined that witnessing two children fleeing domestic violence — without beds, food, or even Christmas gifts — would become the catalyst for a movement now changing lives across the country?
Looking back to 2017, when the idea began to take shape, could anyone have predicted that by the end of that first year, Kids4Kids would have already supported two schools and collected more than 4,000 essential school items? Since then, the initiative has gone on to help 13 local and regional schools — and even one overseas.

Now in 2025, with strong support from the community, Kids4Kids is taking another bold step forward. The charity has partnered with Ipswich-based homelessness service Goodna Street Life Foundation to deliver school supplies to children who may otherwise go without.
“We are all about collaboration so we can make a bigger impact and reach those needing it most,” said Tanya Glancy, co-founder of Kids4Kids.
“As part of the partnership, Goodna Street Life will become an official distributor. We’ve had many requests for support from Ipswich and surrounding areas, and this allows us to offer more convenient access for local families.”
The partnership includes a dedicated Kids4Kids donation bin at Goodna Street Life, fully stocked backpacks ready for distribution, and a shared mission to ease the burden on families doing it tough — particularly when it comes to back-to-school preparation.

Goodna Street Life’s Steven Purcell said the partnership was a natural fit.
With demand continuing to grow, Kids4Kids is already looking to expand its reach on a national level.
“Our goal is simple — the more people we can support and reach, the better,” Ms Glancy said. “We’re already receiving calls from Sydney, Perth and Victoria, as well as large organisations across the country asking for help.”
